Rancho Heights Road & Management Committee Meeting Minutes

Time: 7:00 pm

Committee Members present: J. Geller, J. Szepkouski, C. Hill, D. Eaton,. Also present, J. Hill, S. Bochinski.
The Meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm.
A discussion was held regarding possible violations of the MOU as agreed to last April with plaintiffs in the lawsuit. The opinion of attorneys on the subject was that the MOU was “toothless” as an instrument of enforcement and that the mendacious, defamatory website that was posted on the internet on the day before the annual meeting would need to be legally responded to in other ways, if at all.
It was noted that none of the proposals presented by plaintiffs in the lawsuit to be voted on by the Community received even a quarter of the 65% percent of apportioned votes required for passage.
Discussion of the minutes of the annual meeting and attempts to improve their accuracy followed.
A schedule for quarterly public meetings in 2008 was presented by the Chairman. After discussion the following dates were tentatively agreed upon:
1. Saturday, January 12, at 9 AM.
2. Monday, April 28, at 7 PM.
3. Monday, July 21, at 7 PM
4. Saturday, October 25 at 9 AM (Annual Meeting.)
The Chairman emphasized that the January 12 meeting would be dedicated to discussing deteriorating road conditions, to the forming of a committee to come up with proposals to present to the Community, and to discuss ways to alert the community to the dangers of neglecting the roads.
The Committee then discussed new subjects to put on the Community website that would, among other things, help inform the Community of the pressing need to increase assessments so that the Committee might have the funds to adequately maintain the Community’s roads.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM.
