Billing and Benefit Units
The benefit unit and billing structure for Rancho Heights is set forth in the Rancho Heights Road Agreement and the Amendment to that agreement.
Here is the formula for calculating benefit units:
Parcel less than 17 acres - 1 benefit unit
Parcel 18 to 30 acres - 2 benefit units
Parcel 31 to 45 acres - 3 benefit units
Parcels over 45 acres - 4 benefit units
One additional benefit unit is charged if the property is improved.
Current assessments are $400 per benefit unit. An improvement is defined as a temporary or permanent structure and/or use causing routine traffic at the discretion of the Road Committee. Bills for the annual assessment are mailed in December and are due on receipt.
