The Rancho Heights Road & Management Committee and residents welcome real estate agents in our community. Many of us found our properties here by following the signs and over time others of us will use your resources to sell properties.
Here, however, are some things we ask real estate agents to keep in mind that will help preserve community safety:
A Message to Real Estate Agents
The preferred method of showing Rancho Heights property is for the real estate agent to meet the client at the gate and drive the client through the gate using the agent’s own temporary gate code.
Under no circumstances should prospective buyers be given the seller’s private gate code. Nor should gate codes ever be published in advertisements or signage.
When it is impossible for an agent to accompany a prospective buyer, the agent may give the buyer a temporary code after securing appropriate identification from that buyer. Never give a gate code -- temporary or otherwise -- to a prospective buyer you have met only by phone. Temporary gate codes are available by submitting the form on this web site. Click here.
Thank you for helping us make Rancho Heights a safer community!
The Rancho Heights Road & Management Committee
Please do not disturb residents by placing random calls from the call box in an attempt to find someone who will let you or your client through the gate.
Gate Codes
Signage
Real estate signage at the intersection of Rancho Heights Road and Pala Road is deemed to be a safety hazard and it is discouraged.
At the Y intersection of Rancho Heights and Magee roads, where safety also is a concern, the Road Committee has adopted the following guidelines for real estate signage:
Signs in excess of 30 inches tall must be placed a minimum of 30 feet away from the intersection -- either up Magee or Rancho Heights roads.
Signs 30 inches or shorter must be placed at least 5 feet from the intersection.
Signs that violate the criteria will be removed.
The Rancho Heights Road & Management Committee is aware that an anonymous mailing has been sent to real estate agents active in our area. The apparent objective of this mailing is to create distrust in the community and otherwise disrupt community life, including the routine buying and selling of properties.
The information contained in this mailing is full of falsehoods, misleading innuendos and, potentially, outright libel. It does not represent the opinions of the Committee and/or the vast majority of owners and residents.
Rancho Heights with, currently, some 60+ residences is a beautiful community with spectacular views, generous lots, high-value homes and congenial residents. If you have any questions about the community, you are encouraged to contact the Committee at info@ranchoheights.com.
